EK: Gilles Thomas achtste (alle resultaten)
In de tweede finaleronde van het EK junioren bleef geen enkele landgenoot foutloos. Pieter De Brabandere (Dalton vd Dorpshoeve) ambieerde vooraf een top 15 plaats en werd finaal 12e. In de laatste ronde kreeg hij een fout op de allerlaatste hindernis, een golvende plank waar veel junioren op sneuvelden. Emilie Conter (Cesanna) liet die laatste plank liggen, maar had onderweg al 8 strafpunten laten optekenen. Emilie eindigt haar EK op de 16e plaats. Uittredend vice Europees kampioen Gilles Thomas (Conaro) kreeg een fout in de laatste lijn, op dezelfde steilsprong waar hij ook in de landenprijs een fout op maakte. Gilles viel zo terug naar de 8e plaats. Een foutloze tweede ronde had hem weer zilver opgeleverd. De Franse Camille Conde Ferreira (Pirole de la Chatre) is de nieuwe Europese juniorkampioene. Harry Charles (Vivaldi du Dom pakt het zilver, brons gaat naar Millie Allen (Balou Star).
